Hello.
I need a conformity certificate for a Porsche Cayenne 2018 platinum that was registered in Germany & imported to the Uk, it is right hand drive & speedometer in mph. I have all the paper work etc.
I can provide you with the VIN number then could you tell me if you could guarantee me the COC required that would be accepted by the DVLA in the UK ??.
Next I’m prepared to forward you the documents etc needed as well as the payment.
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us. As per information provided, the COC should be available. On the other hand, if the car has been produced originally corresponding to right hand drive & speedometer in mph, the COC should be acceoted by DVLA.
All depends on what is stated on the COC, how the car was originally produced (LHT/RHT).
For more information on this topic, please see the following article on our blog:
https://www.eurococ.eu/en/blog/right-hand-traffic-and-left-hand-traffic/
If the car has been originally produced for left-hand drive, the COC will be correct but additional procedure in the UK will be needed – If point 0.6 on the Certificate of Conformity mentions that “the vehicle can be permanently registered without requiring any further approvals in Member States having right hand traffic and using metric units for the speedometer“, in order to register such a car in the UK for example, then it will be necessary to contact the Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA) to get a Certificate of Mutual Recognition after making the necessary changes or proving that all requirements have been fulfilled.
