What is a COC Netherlands?<\/span><\/h2>\n

In the Netherlands, a COC is called a Certificate of Origin (CVO) or a Certificaat Van Overeenstemming.<\/span><\/p>\n

A COC, or a Certificate of Conformity, is a document required to register a car from abroad in the Netherlands. If you\u2019re looking to move to the Netherlands permanently, or for long periods of time, and want to take your car with you, it\u2019s very probable that you will need to show a COC.<\/span><\/p>\n

In EU Law, a COC (Certificate of Conformity) is required as a declaration of conformity with the type approval of the European Commission. In short, the Certificate of Conformity guarantees the homogeneity of goods in the EU that are subject to registration, including passenger vehicles (M1), light goods vehicles (N1), and motorcycles (L). <\/span>EUROCOC <\/span><\/a>can get a COC for all of these vehicle types to help you in your move to the Netherlands.<\/span><\/p>\n

When do I need a Certificate of Conformity (COC) for the Netherlands?<\/span><\/h2>\n

When you travel to the Netherlands and want to bring your car for a long period of time, you may need to get a Certificate of Conformity (COC) in the Netherlands. It may be that you already have had your unregistered car in the Netherlands for a short period of time. How to get a Certificate of Conformity in the Netherlands<\/span><\/h2>\n

When you import your vehicle from one EU country to the Netherlands, in addition to your COC, you will need to make an appointment to <\/span>register your vehicle<\/span><\/a> at an RDW inspection station in the Netherlands. If you are arriving in the Netherlands in your vehicle, then you must arrange to have a \u2018One-Day Registration Number\u2019 for your vehicle.<\/span><\/p>\n
