What is a Zulassungsbescheinigung?<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The German car registration document is known as a <\/span>Zulassungsbescheinigung<\/span><\/i>. Vehicle owners must be able to produce this document for inspection at the request of the German authorities. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Germany, this document has two parts. The first part (Teil 1) folds to the size of a business card. You must carry it with you. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second part (Teil 2) is the size of a sheet of paper. You must leave it at home.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Vehicle Registration – Part 1<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The registration certificate Part 1 is issued by the registration office in Germany. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both part 1 and part 2 of the registration document contain identical information. However, part 1 of the document also contains the due date of the following general inspection (MOT.)<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
