If you are looking for information about the owner of a specific vehicle in Northern Ireland, you can use the GOV.UK website to see what information the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) hold about that vehicle.
Just as they do in England, the DVLA are responsible for holding information about a vehicle relating to its registration in Northern Ireland.
You will need to know the vehicle’s registration number in order to be able to access this information.
You cannot find out information about current or historic owners of a vehicle using just the car registration number. But you can apply to the DVLA to find out this information if you have reasonable cause to do so.

This service allows vehicle owners to check the status of a change of ownership notification.
If a customer has changed ownership of a vehicle, or has surrendered their vehicle to an Authorised Treatment Facility for destruction, they can check the current status of the vehicle by entering the vehicle registration details online here.
